Judith "Judy" Winslow is one of the supporting protagonists of Family Matters.

She is the youngest daughter of Carl and Harriette Winslow. Her first name was given as Desdemona before being changed to Judy (though Eddie's and Laura's are given) and it's implied that Desdemona would've been Judy's middle name.

It is suggested that Judy had a strong relationship with her older sister, Laura. Though sometimes, she's much closer to Eddie due to his laid back, rebellious nature when he was younger.

When the show began, Judy was 9 years old. During her years on the show, Judy attends an unnamed elementry school, and also a unnamed junior high school.

In the series' fourth season, her character later disappeared around the age of 12, with no explanation as to why. As the show started revolving more around the character Urkel, the producers of the show thought that Judy was unneeded, and she was more of a background character who was given very few lines. After she disappeared in the episode "Mama's Wedding", the cast of the show acted as if she never existed and Harriette and Carl acted as if they only had two kids- Eddie and Laura. Judy was last seen going up the stairs, supposedly to go clean her room, in that epsiode. In the rest of the series, it is conceivable that she was somewhere else at that time.

William Bickley, the show's creator and a writer of the show, said that she was cut due to a " budget consideration".

She was played by Valerie Jones in the pilot and Jaimee Foxworth for the rest of the series.

If the show continued on into its final season, Judy would've attended Steve and Laura's fourth wedding and revealed she had been living with her aunt, Rachel, in Detroit. In her college years, she has attended and graduated from Harvard(a law school Laura dreamed of going). Now a District Attorney in Detroit, Judy helps with the most important cases and lowers crime.
