Plot[]

Rachel asks Carl to build a playhouse for Richie, but Carl cannot find his screwdriver. Eddie tells Carl he used it to fix his bike, and ignores Carl and by talking to Jolene on the phone. Carl turns the phone off and they argue. Eddie mouths off and Carl grounds him by sending him to his room. Defying Carl, he sneaks out and goes on his date with Jolene. Eddie comes back then and tries to hide the evidence upstairs in his room. However, Carl ironically appears while he is going upstairs. Carl sees the evidence and grounds him for one month, then two more months for his attitude. Carl and Eddie get into a heated argument over house rules, prompting the eldest Winslow son to threaten to move out (even though he doesn't really have a plan). Harriette makes the two sit at a table and she tells the story of when Eddie was born. After Carl talks to Eddie, Eddie decides to stay home saying, "Dad, I'd like to stay", and Carl saying, "I would like that too, son"

Quotes[]

Urkel: This page is in Korean. They misspelled three words.
Carl: You can read Korean?
Urkel: Why, sure! It's a beautiful language. I'll teach you.

Carl: Harriette, I have spoken.
Harriette: Whatever you say, King Carl. But if Prince Edward leaves this kingdom, you will be sleeping on the royal couch.

Harriette: Where will you go?
Eddie: Somewhere where they don't have any screwdrivers.
Harriette: You know this isn't about the screwdriver. It's because you disobeyed your father.
Eddie: Well, he didn't have to ground me. That's excessive punishment, police brutality.

Harriette: This is a true story. It happened 16 years ago, on January 28, 1974.
Eddie: My birthday?
Harriette: It wasn't supposed to be, but you were as impatient then as you are now.

Harriette: [after seeing how clumsy Carl is] Carl, it's a wonder you ever made a baby in the first place.
