Boss sauce is a recurring item in the Family Matters television series. It is used to turn Steve Urkel into Stefan Urquelle. However, it did have defects, such as making Stefan Urquelle arrogant and self-centered, the polar opposite of the considerate Steve Urkel. Boss sauce was also used to cure Carl Winslow of his astigmatism, however due to Myra's tampering with the machine, it instead transformed Carl into a Urkel-esque nerd.
